Isn’t Hindsight Wonderful!

Firstly, I’m still here!

I’m still fully functional and all is well, despite my sporadic updates here on the Podcast-Monetizer.

So what’s going on?

Well, no launch of the full Podcast-Monetizer yet (but you knew that didn’t you!) and I’ve every intention of releasing something this year but it’s still not quite there yet.

Yes, I know and I’m sorry!

I’ve sort of fallen into the trap of not saying no to every bit of paid work that’s offered to me and consequently have been left with very little time to spend on Podcast-Monetizer. As with any situation where you’re on your own making a living and don’t have the luxury of a steady salaried income, it’s very difficult to turn down commissioned work and earn a few extra bucks!

Besides which, I have a hard time saying no to anything!

But I do feel really guilty about this dragging on for so long and I’m really sorry if you’re bitterly disappointed by the slow progress. Please know that it will be worth the wait!

In hindsight, I should have taken two months off and gone off to a cabin in the hills and just got on with it but I didn’t.

However, I’ve got a weeks vacation coming up next week to chill out and spend some time thinking (which is another thing I need to do a bit more) so hopefully I’ll come up with a plan of action and be in a position to deliver something real soon.

What I’d really like to do is get something together before I go out to the Podcast and Media Expo in 4 weeks time. I wonder if I could manage it without killing myself!

But anyway, hopefully writing this post will alleviate my guilt pangs somewhat and put you in the picture.

    Hi Don,

    Thanks for the update, but no apology necessary.
    Sure, taking two months off might have been the better course of action, but everybody in the world has 20-20 hindsight.

    And hey, given that everyone is here because they want to make a few extra bucks through their podcast, we can hardly complain about you taking on some paying work.

    Also, since the construction of my own site & podcast is proceeding at a snail’s pace around all my other work and family commitments, I think I know what it’s like for you.

    So I’ll take it as it comes, when it comes.
    And when it does, it will have been worth the wait.

    I agree with Patrick’s comments completely. While I’m eagerly awaiting the launch, I, too am running at a snail’s pace for the prep needed to get started.
