The tools and knowledge to monetize your Podcast

That’s it!

The new blog is officially live.

It’s amazing how quickly you can put together a Wordpress blog! I’m pretty happy with the current design and layout even though it has been put together in a few hours.

I’ve switched on comments to make the blog a more interactive place so you’ll be able to influence the elements of the Podcast Monetizer program as it comes together. I’ll be making regular (hopefully) updates to the blog so please feel free to join the conversation and make your thoughts or requests known. I’ve added a couple of RSS feeds in the sidebar so you can subscribe to both the posts and the comments if you’d rather read the blog via your RSS agregator.

If you don’t want to go public, you can always email me at don@podcast-monetizer.com and I’ll get back to you asap.

One final point, I’d encourage you to sign up for the email list (if you’re not already) as when we get closer to launch I’ll be sharing some more information and perhaps even some pre-release stuff but it will only be to the email list. Checkout the sidebar for details and I promise, no spam.

Great going, Don! I can’t wait for the rest of the content.

I have an idea I want to pursue using the podcast format - building a t-bucket hotrod.

This will require the use of some type of video camera or video capture device.

Will Podcast Monetizer be including the use of cameras as well as screen capturing. I’m sure I will need to be doing both.

Hi Terry, The PM package will not really be aimed at actually creating a podcast, there’s tons of information and books available on that already available.

No, what I’ll be focussing in on is the backend tools and mechanisms needed to create and support a paid membership service.

This will be ideal for existing podcasters who want to introduce premium content and generate some revenue. Of course, even if you haven’t started your podcast, it will still give you lots of ideas on how you might monetize it.

If there is a general groundswell of requests I may include some generic “how to” podcast material but much later down stream.

Don, you are such a generous guy. This blog is going to be a wonderful resource to bloggers - thanks for taking the time to make your knowledge available. Should be a nice little earner too! S

    Hi Simon,

You had me worried for a minute but I think you understand this will be in itself “Premium Content” so there will be a cost involved!

    Don,

Will you be covering what types of podcasts lend themselves to monetization?

    Frank

PS How do you retain your youthful appearance? :-)

    Hi Frank,

Sort of! There is a section about what elements might lend themselves to monetization.

Youthful appearance - Camay of course ;-)
