The tools and knowledge to monetize your Podcast

PicturesqueWell it’s been a while since I updated you but I’m still plugging away!

The main draft of the guide is pretty much complete and I’ve mapped out the screencasts and supplementary information I need to reach the position where I’ll be happy to make a release of the main guide.

I know it’s been a long time coming but I hope it will be worth it in the end and I appreciate your patience.

What I thought I’d do is release the first chapter or so of the guide which sets the scene and gives some background to what the full guide will be all about. It’s really just to whet your appetite (as if you weren’t already eager to get your hands on the full guide!) and as such I’m releasing this as a freebie with my complements and as a thank you for your continued interest in the project.

The free chapter is only available to members of the Podcast-Monetizer email list so if you’d like the link to the PDF, you need to sign up to the mailing list using the mailing list panel in the sidebar. If you’re already a member of the list, you’ll get the link in the next few hours.

Stay tuned for when the full guide will be available.

Please feel free to leave any comments on this thread.

    Don,

Great first draft of chapter 1. It’s like a pep talk before the big game. As always, you’re a wealth of useful information. I’m anxiously awaiting chapter 2.

Thanks very much! The first chapter makes the business case for podcasting. I can hardly wait for the how-to chapters to come!

Congratulations Don, it sounds great. (I’ve been checking back regularly anticipating this release)`

A simple to read presentation, which I’m sure will be followed up with further equally easy to follow content.

I’m particularly looking forward to the sections regarding how to set up an automated membership database, user accounts and interfacing payment gateways.

Please keep me in the loop

I haven’t read it yet because I just now downloaded chapter 1. However, I must say how nice it is to view the pages since they’re exactly the length of the screen. Makes reading so smooth and effortless.

    Now to actually read it.

    This looks great, so far!

THANK YOU for the easy to read format of the PDF.
Horizontal format, lots of white space, really easy to read. I think I might publish all my PDF’s like this from now on.

You have done a really good job at “chunking down” the information and explaining it in a really simple, easy to understand format. I think people who don’t know about this will be able to read this one time, and really get it.

    Keep up the good work!

    Thank you.

    Worth the wait!
Got a bit alarmed when you disappeared off the face of the planet (or at least the blog) for a month.
But you came back with a terrifically user-friendly intro to the hows, whats and whys of monetizing a podcast.
An un-putdownable page-turner! Can’t wait for the next instalment.

I am a ballroom dancing teacher. I have been thinking of offering lessons for sale on the internet with videos of dance steps and routines etc. so that one day when i am no longer teaching and wish to retire, i will still be able to continue to get a form of income from my knowledge on dancing.
Do you think podcasting is the way for me to go?

Absolutely Maureen, Podcasting would be an ideal vehicle for your idea!

Just received it - read it all - I haven’t started a podcast yet but have an idea of what I want to do. I have all the equipment less the microphone can anyone recommend a good one.

Great shows and great PDf - bring on the next installment

    Cheers - John
